i must admit i too thought it was a tear. if you compare that part of the drawing to your tattoo you’ll notice it bends downwards and not to the side and up hence the look like a tear sort.

i use bepanthen for a few days then when its starting to peel move over to a non fragrent moisturising lotion. does the trick well.
one thing with the bepanthen is it can be a bit thick however you can make it less by warming up the cream first (put the tube in the airing cupboard or by a radiator). makes it loads easier to apply

personally i don’t think its was done very well. its not very neat and doesn’t look to be completed to a good/high standard.
however it could be due to the shape of your foot and how the tattoo is wrapped around that it doesn’t represent itself well in the pic.
