personally i’d say just pop into a book store and look around. doesn’t specifically need to be a tattoo book or even art for that matter. you can find inspiration anywhere.
btw can I ask who the tattooist is?

no problemo. as for alan’s tattoo’s i’ve never heard of them however a quick search on google brings up positive reviews and a few pics which look pretty good. they don’t have a website so i reckon your best bet for them would be a trip down there to have a look through their portfolio’s and see if the work they do/can do matches up with what you want.

+1 for evil from the needle. i have just complete having my sleeve done there and by the looks of their portfolio’s this is definitely something that one of their artists can handle.

Not a fan of the piece, nothing personal just don’t like tribal. As for thoughts on location I agree with what’s been said by Sherav. On the chest or back would be better due to the level of detail.

Building on from what’s already been said….think of what you want/like and then see how that can be incorporated into a sleeve. Even if your best idea seems very small, and you think it won’t ‘fill’ a sleeve, take it inboard as it more then likely can be broken down and elaborated on.

Immediately what I think of is a magnifying glass which either side of it (or possibly all around the lens part)has clouds (maybe even slightly brushing into the sides of the magnifying glass. Then within the glass is a night time/sky/milky way (pinched off Joker1)/universe image.

What comes to my mind is a man on a mountain (not the top, maybe just a ledge) facing away with a bloody head. And what he looks down upon Is a sea of bodys (souls).

i’ve never had to put off getting more sessions done on my sleeve for money however have had to do it due to other commitments, probably why it took just shy of a year to complete just under 15 hours of work! lol. tbh whether it be money or commitments or anything else there’s always another day to be inked. imo more time = more ideas which can…[Read more]

well after 14 hours and 45 mins (spread over 7 sessions), spanning just shy of 1 year my sleeve is finally complete:)
the final part was the inside of the bicep area, an area I was not looking forward to at all! however it wasn’t too bad, 3 times I had some Bactine run over the area to take the edge of it.

its normal for the ink to look lighter (faded) as it heals and the tattoo peels.

been on that site, and they were one of the first places where I saw the £10 ish barbells.
hoping the company i got my 1.6mm one can get hold of a 2mm one for me for similar price as im struggling to find a 2mm in the price bracket I want to pay.

Thanks for the reply BIKERinBLACK77. A couple of issues though with that link. First off it’s an American firm so assuming shipping may be a lot more to get to the UK. also the minimum order is $100.
