thanks for all the positive comments up to this point everyone. i’m more and more chuffed now about how this is going. originally i was going to go for the quote written out and wrapped around some sort of pattern but having a good think about it and changing it to a pictorial representation of the quote has been the right choice. on top of that a…[Read more]

eighty4, i’ll do my best to get a pic of how its currently all looking later on today.
outlaw, im unsure yet whether the artist is going to be adding any highlights. tbh he kinda decides upon what needs to be done on the day!

im getting my sleeve done at evil from the needle in camden town, london. there work there seems spot on but i think i’d be right in saying its the artist thats makes it all.
best bet i would say from my learning curve from my tattoo is to find out what style/type of tattoo you are after then ask for opinions on who are the most apt tattoist to do…[Read more] -

I too thought the way you are regarding my sleeve. I based mine on a quote and picked out 3 major parts and for the remainder of the space I talked to my artist and we came up with what we could use to fill the remaining void.
I would say think of an image/quote/prominent things first. Then you can plan what you want around it based on what the…[Read more] -

To display a pic you can use tinypic to host it. Google them, upload your pic and they’ll provide you with a direct link which you can copy/paste into a thread and it will immediately show the pic.
As for your question, maybe think of a design you’d like then see that artist’s impression of it. That way your mind won’t immediately have a negtive…[Read more]

thanks for the reply whoji.
when i had the outline done i used bepanthen for 7 days before switching to a moisturiser. do you think it best i do the same or continue using the bepanthen till all the peeling/cracking/flaking has gone and then begin with the moisturiser?

personally im not a fan of tribal. i think mainly its because I see it everyday. I’m in the army and i’d say a massive majority of serving tattoo’d soldiers (well in my regiment anyway) have some form of tribal on them. i guess its just a ‘see it everyday begin to dislike/get bored with it’ attitude.
im sure if i wasn’t in this job that maybe…[Read more] -

i just say ‘its not what i would have, however if you like it then fair enough’…everyones different and if the wearer likes it then thats all that matters. i’d never lie to them though.
