Tattoos are forever dude. What’s the connection with the Halloween candy? The character is cool. It reminds me of old racing posters by Stanley Mouse from the 60’s. I’d ditch the other elements (bats and candy) and think long and hard that this is what you want to put on your body forever.

Are you still suffering from the condition? If you get a large and expensive tattoo will you risk further scaring that may distort the tattoo under the skin?

Aotearoa has so much tattoo culture already… I agree with Hoani, perhaps look to your European heritage. You come from a lot of counties there… perhaps a more ‘Northern Hemisphere – or even Celtic/Anglo-Saxon symbolism (yes there were plenty in France too).

It sounds as though the written word really is your artistic expression of choice. I’ve seen some amazing tattoos that use typographical elements such as words or phrases or lyrics that can be as poignant as a graphic. Perhaps some of your own prose set in a unique way would get out the feeling you’re trying to express?

I’d like to know what song you wanted to use… it would help to think of appropriate design ideas.

I use Bepanthen only for the first couple of days, then I go for a dry-healing (I’m sure others would have different advise – this is what I do). I find that I get pimples if I use it too much… so I only put it on in the morning and before bed and I don’t rub it on thick.
