Yeah… that’s always a dilemma. I have turned down some great tattoo design ideas from amazing artists because I was ‘saving’ the skin for a larger grand idea sometime in the future.

My advice… don’t worry about it. If you love the design, you can probably figure out a way to have your sleeve added around it.

It would help to know where you got the tattoo. Certain body areas take ink differently. Joints (knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists, etc.) are particularly bad for having ink ‘fall out’ after healing.
