You can hide it quite easily too can’t you? I’m not really allowed it for work and want to make sure it’s possible to be hidden
Hey!
I’m just wondering if you’d had a chance to give mine a go yet? I havn’t had anything in my e-mail inbox yet.
Cheers!
Hey!
This sounds brilliant so I’d like to see you give mine a go if possible please?
I would like a gothic dragon as a sleeve. I’d like the head on the top of my shoulder/chest area and snaking around my arm with the tail stopping on the tip of my wrist. I don’t want a chinese-looking dragon but like a traditional gothic one.
My e-mail address is rosabeauchamp@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks in advance.

What’s happened isn’t your fault at all.
Where you want the tattoo shouldn’t matter…pain is pain. I have a small tattoo on the outside of my leg (just above the ankle) and it did hurt but my tattooist didn’t question it. At the end of the day, they’re getting paid for it and it’s not going onto their body. The fact that he seemed quite adamant that you shouldn’t have your tattoo in the place that you’ve got it is a bit worrying. Even if it was the end of the day, it’s their job and they should keep their standards up cuz it’s something that’s going to be with you for the rest of your life.
All tattooists should give you verbal advice and maybe a sheet to go with it (if they want). I was told that Bepanthem was the best and if there were any problems to go see them and go back after 2 weeks so they could see the progress and work out if it needed touching up. If he didn’t give you any advice then I’d avoid going back there and get it touched up at another shop with a really good reputation.
I’ve over-moisturised before and even with advice it happens so that’s not your fault at all. His machine should be up to tattooing any part of your body.
In my opinion, this guy sounds like a douche and I’d avoid him and warn others off. He’s clearly getting sloppy and a bit pissed off with his job.
I’d check out every other studio around you and just ask their opinions on what they think they could do with what you’ve got, go home, think about what each of them have said, think about what you felt about the studio and the staff and take a little bit of time to mull it over then go book in an appointment with one that you like. That’s what I did for my first one and I knew that where I go now was the place for me as soon as I walked in.
If you don’t mind me asking, where abouts in the World are you and what County (if you’re in the UK). Also, where did you go and get this one started?
Sorry for the length but I hope this helped.

I completely agree…this tattoo doesn’t look right. It really does look like he’s dug in too much.
I’d go see a couple of different tattoo artists and ask what they think about it because, in the end, they’ll know more than we do (apart from those who are tatoo artists). You can then get a general idea of what they think because one person may not be right!
Good luck
In my opinion it’s ugly and tacky and your gf is probably only telling you she likes it because she doesn’t want to upset you.
As said before, if you’re not sure about the design then don’t do it and especially not on your neck! Neck is the worst place to get one as it hinders where you can work and they look ugly and chavvy.
Good luck in whatever you choose
I’ll keep it clean and hopefully it’ll heal up quickly and look amazing in a months time 😛
Thanks for all your help
All done!
As has been said before, some of the questions did seem to be aimed and those who aren’t tattoo’d but I tried my best for you.
Alot of the questions I struggled with such as ‘describe a tattoo’d man/woman’. People could be describing a chav, a meathead, metalhead etc.
I tried and I hope that it goes ok. Let us know if it’s going to be published yeah? I’d love to read it!
I have a full back piece and didn’t have anyone to rub cream on it at any time and you realise how flexible you can be when you have to be!
Shoulderblades aren’t too hard to reach just use the opposite hand to shoulder (right to left, left to right). You’ll be ok it’s just awkward more than anything else
That sounds pretty normal and that the ink isn’t fully in the skin maybe?
Are you using some sort of cream on it? I use Bepanthem nappy rash cream and this keeps the tattoo moisturised and helps it heal.
I’d say give it about 3 weeks and keep cleaning it and moisturising it then go back to the tattooist who did it and show them it. They’ll be able to do any touch ups and you can tell them your concerns then.
I hope this helps
I was hoping they’d heal enough so I could swap them for clear bars but I ended up realising that that wasn’t possible 😛
I’m just using salt water or antiseptic spray on it and they look so much better than they did 2 days ago or even yesterday!
I really should have prepared better but oh well that’s my own fault and no-one elses.
The scabs are like a redish colour but they turn into flaky skin and fall off. It’s just odd because I’ve never had anything like this before and I’ve had quite a few piercings
I didn’t expect it to fully heal in under a week but I thought it was worth a try.
The scabs have pretty much gone now but I still have no idea what they were. I was told by someone in London that they looked like chemical burns but no chemicals have gone near my face and my partner is well versed on all types of chemical burns and he said that they weren’t chemical related. What can cause weird scabbing?
The long bar is a bit of a nightmare but, like you said, you get used to it.
I play with mine sometimes but not that often. It’s a weird habit that you start quite quickly after having it eh?
I changed my bar about 8 weeks after having it done because I knew it would be more healed then than after 2 weeks. Tongue piercings can close over quite quickly so if you’re worried about finding the hole quickly after taking the other one out then I’d get your piercer to do it for you (most piercers offer a free down-size after 2 weeks). I’d suggest leaving it in for 6-8 weeks before changing it but it’s up to you. You can change it after 2 weeks if you want. They say 2 weeks because that’s the average amount of time it takes for swelling to go down.
I hope this helped!
I’ve got my tongue done and got it done about a year ago and I couldn’t talk properly for a couple of days but since then it’s been fine. I don’t have a lisp of any problems and it rarely clacks against my teeth when I talk. I think the first couple of weeks it’s just a case of getting used to it. I found it more comfortable and easier when I swapped it to a smaller bar. I sometimes bite down on mine when I eat but it doesn’t happen that often and I love it!
How’s the healing process going so far then?
I work in a UK High Street retailers (Thorntons) and they are so discriminatory it’s ridiculous! The jewllery/tattoo part in our Terms and Conditions is ridiculous (one pair of plain gold ear studs, a plain gold wedding band and a plain gold crucifix at a push a plain watch)….needless to say I don’t adhere to this and I have managed to avoid getting yelled at but next week may be the ultimate test (new piercing + Area Manager visit = interesting conversation!)
