now you’ve said that ive looked at the bottom star a bit more, its not perfect, but not awful or badly so, just not perfect. that saying neither is the top star….ah well im still incredibly pleased with the whole thing, i do need to get some friends for the swallow though, the only problem is what 😛

i have a matching tattoo i got with my husband for our anniversary last year. However we didnt find a tattoo to get together, it just happened that we both wanted the same one (Deathly Hallows symbol) It reminds me of that day, that we both have the same tattoo, but in the unlikely event that we split up, i still have a tattoo that i got for a passion of mine, not for a person.

Why not both get tattoos, but ones you want rather than something just because it fits. Plus im a bit superstitious about tattoos FOR a relationship/lover

wow. i really like the green in it and agree with the others, def get some red in there. it adds to it quite a lot!

its not great. but if you’re happy with it thats all that matters 🙂

mine aren’t amazing pieces of work, tbh they are just symbols, but if you are getting any work like this again, i would find a better artist.

i will admit to staring, i don’t get stared at an awful lot unless im wearing a sleeveless top/dress as i have one tattoo at the top of my arm and one on each shoulder.

I’ve had a couple of touchy-feely people come up to me, once in a queue. I had just got my first tattoo done, and was standing in a queue. A woman starting saying “oooh that looks new” did it hurt? and then showing me hers.

More recently i was in a supermarket and another woman ran up to me and said “oh my god, look we have the same tattoo, i’ve never met anyone with the same tattoo” (white tree of gondor) it was actually quite nice. I’m quite shy when it comes to talking to other people, but i love talking to people about my ink and theirs. Its definatly an icebreaker 🙂

i agree with kitty, i think it would probably look too cluttered

…. but if your heart is set on it, i would personally put their name as it is to me. So instead of “Bob”I would have “Dad”

thanks for the warm welcome. I’ll get some pics up as soon as i work out how 😉

@arni my white tree is basically just an outline, with the 7 stars, but i left out the crown. I don’t have any sleeves (yet) but hoping to work out a zombie -esque americana style one if that makes any sense

nautical tattoos booked for next friday, quite excited 🙂
